Caracalla, born Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, was a Roman emperor who ruled from 198 to 217 AD. He is known for issuing the Antonine Constitution, which granted Roman citizenship to all free inhabitants of the empire, and for his tumultuous relationship with his brother and co-emperor, Geta, whom he eventually had assassinated.
